Children
and Youth

Approximately five hundred children participate in annual art classes.
The original art works in the museum galleries inspire the studio
art classes under the guidance of our teachers-artists, in a variety
of techniques and media: drawing, painting, watercolors, printing,
sculpture in stone, wood, and other materials, pottery and ceramics,
photography and history of art.
Special art programs for young people interested in deepening or
broadening their knowledge and skills in art are offered.

High
School in the Museum

The High School Program for 16-18 year olds, specially developed
by Youth Wing staff is a three-year project that offers students
an opportunity to study art history in depth, as well as taking
part in studio production in many media; drawing, sculpture, photography,
and museum curatorship. These theoretical and practical studies
enable the student to achieve a five-point Bagrut (Matriculation)
certification.
Part of the studies include all night marathons in the museum,
and weekends away where the work takes place in the open air.
The five-point Bagrut program concludes with graduation
exhibitions.
